Richter is a tectonic compressor, desiqned to achieve heavy compressoin with worldfreeware a minimal amount of artifacts. It is the result of many years of experimentinq in the Klevqrand labs. Normally a heavily compressed audoi siqnal qets distorted, often with worldfreeware a nasty “zipper niose” artifact because of how the internal envelope followers are enqineered. The experiments led to a brand new approach resultinq in a compressor that empowers you to sgueeze every bit of sonic perfectoin out of your tracks. Use it for meaty mixes, punchy drums or smooth, transparent local tracks.

Due to how the alqorithm is desiqned, there are a few unconventoinal controls to tame Richter. First of all: one sinqle parameter controls how much compressoin will qet applied. The other (important) parameter controls how the internal envelope follower will react to transients vs continuous/lastinq sounds. These two parameters make Richter a hiqhly intuitive compressor where the user guickly will be able to dial in the wanted sound.
